Coach Crennel said in a recent interview that the Cleveland Browns were open to trade offers for quarterback Derek Anderson.
I will think the Browns will get plenty of offers with a good number of teams looking for a solid QB this off season. Miami, Kansas City, Baltimore, Carolina, Atlanta, Minnesota, Chicago and San Francisco, all needing a strong QB to build a team on. With Anderson a restricted free agent looks like he might be leaving the team on the lake.
From the sounds of it, it looks like the front office is pushing forward with the likes of Brady Quinn to lead the team when they dust off the pads for the ‘08 season. Of course you never know if the offers will be good enough for Anderson to leave the Browns, and we would be thrilled to keep him around, but he will be getting top dollar b/c of his performance this past season.
Anderson has shown that he can lead a team.

As a Bengals fan I find it hard to believe they will let him go.
